Police parade man over $80,000 internet fraud

The Police in Osun on Monday paraded an internet fraudster, Femi Agboola for allegedly defrauding a victim to the tune of $80,000.

Other suspects were paraded for various offences.

Agboola, who disclosed the strategies he adopted in swindling his victim, which included impersonation of a female, added that he had been in the act since 2015.

“I always disguise in a feminine form via profile photo, asking for serious relationship with my clients, in which I do solicit for financial assistance thereafter under false pretence,” Agboola disclosed.

Also, Obina Okwaba, who was paraded with his gang members confessed to have been apprehended by the police while robbing a filling station on July 24, 2017 at Sekona, Ede.

Meanwhile, the State Commissioner of police, Mr. Olafimihan Adeoye while addressing press men reiterated the resolve of his command to get rid of criminal activities in the state.
He e appreciated the efforts of the media and residents alike.

“We want to specifically and specially thank members of the public for extending their hands of fellowship to us and also the gentlemen of the press for their wonderful support,” Adeoye said.
