Nigerian Widow shares said story of how she feels after losing her Husband in a Random attack in Canada.

A woman identified as Ugonna is the wife of  a 46 year old man identified as Nicholas Nwonye who was murdered in Canada in a random attack said she still finds it hard to believe reality.

Nicholas was killed in a random stabbing attack on a Calgary C-Train platform in early June, by a 39-year-old man with an extensive criminal record.

It was reported that Ugonna and her husband had moved to Canada from Nigeria eighteen months ago, in search of a better life for their three children.

The deceased, Nicholas, who left his job in Nigeria as a geophysical engineer had been working two jobs to support his family while taking nursing courses at Bow Valley College.

Just four weeks into his program at the nursing school, Nicholas, while returning home from school was attacked.

Even in the whole tragedy, Ugonna said she doesn’t regret moving to Calgary because the family had sacrificed so much to get there.

According to her, she would carry on with the dreams she shared with her husband.
She said:
“The truth of the matter is I’ve not even accepted that he’s dead. I find it so hard to believe that.

"Every day I still look at my door, that he will open the door, walk in. I don’t even know how to deal with it. It’s something I’ll live with. I’ll continue to remember him every day of my life.”
